Introducing… the archives!

Since I don’t use the new Blogger, I have to figure out a lot of things myself and manually rig them the way I want them to be (we call this “mickey mousing”).

And I decided that since I can’t have a fancy tag cloud or anything, I’d manually break out my own archives by label.

The link can be found here.

I’ll also put it at the side of the page in case anyone is interested.

Happy Wednesday! (As it turns out, my mythical free time this week is all being spent… filing! Yes, filing. And cleaning up the office, which is kind of the slag heap of the house. Boooooooooo, hiss.)

Wow! The archives must have taken a lot of work to get together.

And happy Wednesday to you, too. Have fun filing and cleaning. As much fun as you can have with such tasks, at least…

Actually, the whole structure was set up already, there was just no good way to list out the labels, etc…. so it just took a little bit of copy-pasting, but fortunately the real work (of creating places to link to) had already been done.

Thank you! I think today I’m going to actually play hooky and go down to the sewing room for a bit!

    Great idea!!!

Make a chart of how many total pieces of paper have to be filed. Set a due date for the filing to be done (you’ll probably want to finish in one day so you may have to break it down by minutes) —- Be sure to factor in time for making new file folders and the labels (you do have label maker, yes?) Bathroom and tea breaks have to be included in order for the data to be properly configured.

Don’t forget a file folder for this chart plus all the other charts you have made. Oooops, that may throw off the S & P or Dow Jones, or some darn thing.

Oh my gosh – it’s after 12 noon and I haven’t even gotten dressed yet. I NEED a chart for my mornings.

Hardy hardy har, Adrienne! I’m adding you to the Naughty Chart!

  5. Adrienne says:

Ok, ok – I’ll stop. Actually I think you are a pretty amazing young woman. I’m very glad my cyber-nephew, Tom in Vegas, led me to you.

Because of the ADD I am always looking for role models to help me stay on track and improve my coping skills. I will never make charts, although the idea really appeals to me, but many other helpful tips come from your blog.

My day is not complete without a visit to your blog:)

  6. Katie Alender says:

Oh, Adrienne, what a nice thing to say!

  7. Tom in Vegas says:

Wow. A link directly to my pal Winston’s posts. Awesome!

You know, today I saw the movie I Am Legend with Will Smith. I’ve read the story and the movie significantly deviates from the original storyline. Let me make a long story short: in the process of defending his owner, Neville’s dog is bitten and acquires the virus that initiates the vampire metamorphoses. I wanted to reach out not just for my dog but for dear ol’ Winston as well.

I’ve got a soft spot for dogs in distress.

Anyway, happy Wednesday and a blessed Easter to you, the hubby, and Winston.

Adrienne (Auntie A) is also an animal lover, as you can see by the furry (or is it harry?) little picture of her dog!

  8. Katie Alender says:

Glad you like the archives, Tom! I knew you’d dig the Winston tag.

I read that book, too, and then I read the movie spoiler (yes, I’m a bad person) and I am soooo glad I didn’t pay to see the movie. The part with the dog does make me very sad, though.
