…Do you feel it?
I changed the name of this blog. It was called “Katie’s Awesome Blog”. In the interest of defending myself, I never meant for that to be visible anywhere. I just had to give it a name, per Blogger, and that’s the one I picked out of mid-air. However, given the existence of my sewing blog, and also the crushing shame of seeing myself listed in other people’s blogrolls with such a self-satisfied name, I thought it was time to shake things up.
I’m less grouchy today, hurray!

Does this mean I should change the name of my blog to something different than “Alex’s Average Blog”?
Well, I’m not changing the shortcut button on my IE window, which clearly and proudly is called “Katie’s Awesome Blog”. I flat-out refuse, and you can not make me.
Besides, I thought the name made you sound like a hip pre-teen or some such young thing. I never got the “self-satisfied” feeling from it.
Glad to see you back, even though you are too busy to do fun things.
Alex, you must follow your conscience. Not like you’ve been burning up the blogosphere lately, though! Geez! Or do you have a new secret blog somewhere that I should be following?
4Horses, I won’t try to make you. I was never much of a hip pre-teen (white tights, red socks, denim shorts, old necktie… remember?… I was sooooo cool)… so if someone out there wants to think of me that way, far be it from me to fight it!
A rose by any other name, Katie, but I take your point. I’ve been toying with ‘Over Here, Under Paid’ as a new name for my blog.
I’ve always loved the sound of ‘Ralph’s Pretty Good Grocery’ from G. Keilor’s Lake Woebegone series. How about ‘Katie’s Pretty Good Blog?’ Hmm. Maybe I’ll go for that myself.
